Two-Stage Trigger With Ultra-Fast Lock Time; Adjustable & Pre-Set Models
Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) 2-stage combat trigger has a fixed 4½ lb. total pull weight, non-adjustable sear engagement, and additional safety features ideal for CQB and mid-range carbine work. A secondary “safety sear” captures the hammer if the primary sear accidentally releases due to hard impact, ensuring the rifle can fire only when the shooter actually pulls the trigger. Trigger pull is optimized for both deliberate, aimed fire and quick, “snap shooting.” The first stage builds gradually to 2½ lbs., with a 2 lb. second stage that breaks clean, so the shooter can stay on target throughout the pull. A lightweight hammer driven by a full-power hammer spring speeds locktime and delivers positive ignition of all ammo types. All contact surfaces are wire-EDM cut to exact dimensions for precise engagement free of play. Direct replacement for factory trigger; may be installed without removing the safety. Operation and parts layout is similar to the USGI M16 trigger for easy maintenance. All springs are captive to simplify field disassembly for cleaning. Hammer and trigger pins are a close slip-fit in nominal .154" (small pin) mil-spec receiver holes to enable installation with basic tools. Super Semi-Automatic-Enhanced (SSA-E) offers an even lighter, 3½ lb. total pull weight, making it an excellent choice for precision Squad Designated Marksman type rifles where both accuracy and reliability are critical. First stage builds gradually to 2.3 lbs., followed by a 1.2 lb. second stage with a crisp, “candy cane-like” break. A semi-auto-only version of the Geissele full-auto combat trigger presently used in the U.S. Special Operations community.
SPECS: Steel, black finish. Fits semi-automatic AR-15/M16 receivers with .154" diameter hammer and trigger pin holes. May be installed in AR-style .308 rifles that accept AR-15 triggers. Kit includes trigger and hammer assemblies, springs, hammer pin, tube of grease, and illustrated instructions.

Awesome trigger!(24/12/2010)
Purchased this trigger to replace the stock mil spec trigger on a Bushmaster AR-15. It was easy to install and a huge improvement over the original trigger. It has a nice, smooth first stage and clean, crisp break in the second stage. At [$], it's pricey. But once you shoot with it, you will love it.
First thing(25/03/2011)
There is a reason for this not being in stock,Everyone with a semi should be purchasing one.Its that good.
Expensive, and worth it...(22/05/2011)
Installed this trigger in the lower of a Bushmaster AR-15. Man, what a difference it makes! It's smooth, clean, and crisp. Improves the shooting experience dramatically. I was reluctant to spend [$] on a trigger, but am glad I did. It's so much better than the stock/factory tiger. There's no comparison. The U.S. military should install one of these in every service rifle. It's that good.
Sweet Trigger(01/08/2011)
Used on a recent build. This is my second build with a Geissele trigger. The SSA-E is perfect for a coyote hunting rig.
Geissele SA-Enh Trigger is excellent(27/10/2011)
Easy installation in my Ruger SR556, great directions and after install I went from a gritty 9lb trigger pull to smooth, like breaking glass 3.8lb trigger. Highly recommended ... groups at 100 yards went from 1.5-2" to 1" max and most well under.
Don't wait.(10/12/2011)
Don't wait anymore. Just buy it. You won't regret it. This blows the RRA-2stage out of the water. I wish I had not wasted my time and money on others. Geissele for me from now on.
Great Trigger(10/01/2012)
As advertised. Easy install on Bushmaster AR, takes only minutes. Great feel, smooth operation. Perceived trigger weight feels lighter than 3.5 lbs due to how smooth the operation is. Small ammount of travel, short reset, clean and crisp break. It's a solid investment, I was very pleased with the SSAE Trigger.
Great trigger(18/01/2012)
it was an easy 5 minute install and I was greatly impressed with the feel and crispness of the trigger. The only comparison that I could give was it broke as clean as my Wilson Combat 1911.
Would buy again for use with .223 upper(28/01/2012)
I bought this for use with my DPMS/Nordic 22lr. upper. The firing pin in this rimfire upper sits about .080 deeper into the upper than in a .standard .223 upper. The Geissele hammer is about .065 shorter than the mil. spec. hammer. These two differences combine to create a condition where the hammer barely reaches the firing pin causing extremely light primer strikes and about 90% + misfires. I have this same trigger in my Armalite .223 match rifle and love it. It just won't work in my dedicated 22lr.
Excellent Trigger(31/03/2012)
I replaced a single stage after-market trigger that was prone to go full auto with the Geissele SSA-E and consider the latter to be the best AR-15 trigger I've used. Second stage let-off is perfect. However, a word of caution: The hammer assembly spring, as packaged, was installed backward. Therefore, check spring orientation before attemting to install.
This is a great feeling 2-stage trigger!(11/04/2012)
With 40+ years of shooting and reloading behind me, I've felt my share of good and bad triggers. I have 2 AR15s that both needed trigger work and I very much wanted them to have the same feel, for obvious reasons. After reading all reviews, I opted to try this Geissele trigger group. First, I bought one to check it out. It went into my M&P 15 in about 3 minutes. Fit and finish is as-advertised. Beautiful workmanship. Function was flawless and for those that prefer a 2-stage trigger, this is a very, very nice one. The first stage is as you would expect. No binding or "feel" at all. The second stage is merely a touch - there is absolutely no creep and it breaks like the proverbial glass rod. Old cliche, but accurate. Very nice and far better than any AR trigger I have felt before.
I immediately ordered another for my older (circa 1979) SGW (now Olympic). I was a little nervous about fitting it into the older SGW but just like in the M&P, there was no problem at all. In 3 minutes I had a trigger that's identical to the one in the M&P. I mean identical. I don't know how Geissele can turn them out like that, in a trigger group that isn't contained in one drop-in unit like some others. They do a beautiful job.
I cannot say enough nice things about these trigger groups. Very highly recommended and of course with the Brownell guarantee, you can't go wrong anyway.
Should I buy another AR, regardless of brand or quality, the very first purchase will be another of these trigger groups before I make even one trip to the range. No one should be disappointed with one of these.
(I am former military and law enforcement.)
SSA-E Well worth the wait and the Co$t(12/04/2012)
Took a bit of a wait, but it was worth it.
Installed easy, no surprises in an LWRC lower.
Nothing like a GREAT trigger to aid in accuracy. Breaks cleanly as well as crisp.
And after talking to others who run this trigger, none have had any doubling or failure issues of any kind. So it's SAFE.
Sure wish they were a bit cheaper...as I need three of them!
Best upgrade to my AR yet!(19/04/2012)
I didn't realize just how bad the factory trigger was until I installed this. This trigger is almost too good, I think I would have been satisfied with the 4.5 lb model. But I'll definitely buy one for my next AR. And very easy to install. If you can use toilet paper with any degree of proficiency then you can install this trigger. It's that easy.
This is an excellent trigger.(29/04/2012)
This is an excellent trigger. The stock trigger that came with my new AR-15 was like the title to the old song "The Rocky Road to Dublin." I am an old competitive pistol marksman, and I can't stand the feeling of anything less than a perfect trigger on any firearm. Installation was a snap and the smoothness of the new trigger put a smile on my face. Having said all of that, if an AR-15 with a rough trigger is to be used strictly for defensive purposes, the stock trigger would be just fine.
BEST, Most crisp trigger ever(02/07/2012)
Well, to say this trigger is a vast improvement on the mil-spec 9 lb triggers that come w/ most AR kits would be an under-statement! I too was a tad hesitant about purchasing this trigger due to its hefty price tag, but I had just heard too many good things about this trigger from operators I highly admire. Uhhh, YEAH! this trigger lives up to all the hype & then some. You want the best trigger out there? Then, duhhh buy this one! you will never go back to mil-spec!..--Dutch
Worth every penny!(13/09/2012)
Installation sounds more difficult than it really is. Very smooth, very noticeable improvement.
Superior Battle Trigger(04/11/2012)
This is the best curved-trigger-bow AR15 battle trigger currently available at any price.
Some from other makers MAY feel as crisp, as consistent, and as light as the SSA-E. NONE of them will have NAVSEC Crane certification for surpassing ALL military standards for reliability, drop safety, ruggedness, quality, and consistency.
That is why I call it a "battle trigger". This is not a toy....it is not just a gamer trigger (though many competitors use it). It is a true hard-use trigger. Freezing-cold hunting with your AR? The SSA-E is GTG. Home defense/self defense? The SSA-E is GTG. LEO Patrol carbine (how I use it)? The SSA-E is GTG.
It's been tested and certified by the military to be MORE reliable than a std mil-spec trigger assembly. How many other aftermarket AR trigger makers can show you their 'certs upon request? ;)
Simply stated, the SSA-E will WORK when you need it.....but it still has the crisp feel of a fine precision trigger.
For people who employ their ARs for serious "social use", the SSA-E is superior to all but the SD-E (also a Geissele).
And, in case you were wondering....YES, it is worth every penny.
INSTALL NOTE: Make sure and use the supplied AeroShell 6 grease in the little tube. It helps the sear and disconnector surfaces break-in properly. AeroShell 6 grease can be purchased by the 14oz tube from any number of aircraft suppliers online. I prefer the AeroShell 7 grease after the first few hundred rounds because it si slightly thicker and is a full sytnetic base with more EP additives. The AeroShell 6 is a mineral oil base that was hand-picked by Bill Geissele for its wear properties during break-in and use for GA triggers. I simply prefer AeroShell 7 after break-in...it's not necessarily "better".
This trigger wow!! Double Tap?(18/05/2013)
This trigger wow! I have owned LMT and Rock River 2 stage triggers and they don't compare to this Cadillac. I did have a issue shooting from a Lead Sled. I was had no pressure on the AR trying to shoot the tightest group possible. When the gun went off the trigger reset is so fast, the gun BUMP FIRED (Full AUTO)2 shots. Instantly I was concerned, but soon was reassured this trigger is solid. This was a shooter error, but do take a mental note, a gun to hang onto during precision shooting (No Lead Sled shooting for me anymore!!).This is a positive review just thought I would share my experience, Best 2 stage on the market you will never look back once you go Geissele.
can't ask for anything better.(11/07/2013)
I couldn't ask for anything better- Easy to install, no gunsmithing. Clean and crisp pull.
Nice but 4.5lb SSA better(27/07/2013)
It is a really nice, smooth trigger but I find the second stage too light and wish I got the SSA instead. If you are not careful or concentrating on the trigger the second stage can be so light you blow right through it as if it was a single stage causing you to fire prematurely.
If you cant decide between SSA or the SSA-E go for the SSA.
Amazing, night and day difference,(03/01/2014)
I've only installed a trigger in an AR once before, with help from a shooting buddy, an ALG, and it took some effort and I didn't like the feel of that one at all. This one took 5 minutes, by myself, and it's soooo Crisp. I can tell exactly when it's going to break, and it breaks like a thin glass rod on a very cold winter day. This trigger is everything a trigger should be.
The stock trigger that shipped in my build from RGuns was nothing like this. The ALG Combat trigger was worse than the RGuns by far. It's just perfect.
Nice Trigger(14/04/2014)
Geissele is a great trigger manufacturer. I have used several Geissele triggers including the SSA, SSAE, and ejectable ones as well. The trigger pull is smooth and crisp which helps with accuracy. Definitely a great buy.
Geisselle SSA & SSA-E(17/04/2014)
I own four AR-15s, three Colts and a Bushmaster. I use my carbines mostly for competitive shooting, and frankly I did not consider trigger replacement to be a helpful step to enhance my shooting accuracy. But, after some advice from one of my team shooters who repeatedly kicked my butt at the range I decided to perform a trigger replacement. I bought one SSA, and one SSA-E. Both new triggers went into Colts (one with EoTech optics, and the other with a Trijicon scope). I then had the opportunity of comparing mil spec triggers against the Geisselle triggers. I now know why I continuously came home with a lighter wallet. BUY THE SSA - E and watch the ten ring disappear with a single twenty round magazine at 125 yards.
AWESOME TRIGGER(23/04/2014)
Just installed the SSA-E trigger on a colt LE6920 and it is amazing. The colt original was 8LB pull hard and gritty. The Geissele then made it 4LB and crisp. I have not shot it yet, but I can see this is going to be AWESOME. No doubt an accuracy increase will happen.
Perfect.(21/09/2014)
I purchased this trigger to complete my first precision AR build. I had looked at this trigger before for carbine builds, but was always slightly leery of the light weight of the trigger, and the additional price. I was wrong. This trigger has a silk smooth first stage, and a super crisp candy cane break with zero creep after hitting "the wall", but is still perfectly safe for "rough work". The included instructions guide the installation well enough that even a new AR tinkerer should have little trouble with installation. It is definitely worth the extra coin, and this will be my "go-to" trigger for my AR builds in the future. I cannot recommend it enough.
Trigger lives up to it's reputation(15/01/2016)
Installed Geissele SSA-E in a new Sig 716 Patrol. It was my 1st trigger install. Followed directions on YouTube video (it was easy).
There was a significant improvement in trigger feel compared to the stock trigger. Completed the trigger safety checklist and was ready for the range.
Someone forgot to tell my little 16" barrel Sig 716 it's a patrol rifle not a precision weapon. With this new trigger I embarrassed some bolt rifles while shooting off my range bag. While not easily impressed, I'm impressed!
You will love this trigger(24/02/2016)
Ok if you're going to upgrade your AR then get this GEISSELE SSA-E trigger.
My grouping proved it to me, 50 yards with a red dot .!!!
I had a hard time deciding between this, the SSA, and another trigger. I was concerned that this would be too light. It isn't. It nothing like a Mil Spec trigger, but it's no Accutrigger either. Since it's being used in the military, I have no doubt that it is safe and reliable. It is a good trigger, but man, I can almost buy an entire gun for what this trigger costs.
Geissele triggers and failure to fires. (23/06/2017)
I have purchased two Geissel triggers for my dad and 3 for myself over the past 6 or so years.
I have yet to find a trigger group from them that is real reliable. I expected that from the 3 gun trigger and the super dynamic as they are for plinking and fun shooting. When you put these triggers on the "bench" for a new scope sight in they will bump fire and end with a malfunction. Bullet in chamber with the bolt closed and a trigger spring that is not reset. This is totally fine for plinking because you will only use it for off hand. That is the design intention with those trigger types.
I was hoping for a bit more reliability from this SSA E trigger. I purchased it as a Coyote trigger. I took it out to the range and within 15 shots i had an FTF. Same problems as always... Bullet in the chamber with the bolt closed and the trigger not reset.
This happens if you are relaxed on the rifle and it goes off before you think it will (surprises you) The recoil of the rifle inside your relaxed arms will for some reason not engage trigger. No problem for the plinking 3 gun triggers but.... They quote Designated Marksmen and all this stuff for this model.
I love the triggers this company makes... I just wonder if the competitions triggers are close to as nice but more reliable?
This trigger might go back? I am tired of FTF's.
Great triggers!! Fantastic feel!!
Just don't get any ideas about self defense or high stakes competition.
Awsome trigger(03/12/2017)
After trying one I have been slowly converting all my ARs over. Never had an issue with one in the three yrs I've been running these. Light pull crisp break and smooth reset. Just the best trigger I've come across bottom line.
Great Trigger(01/04/2018)
I have this trigger in my AR-10, and AR-15 DMRs. Simply the best trigger on the market for this application.
Worth every penny(27/02/2010)
I purchased this after a failure from another manufacturer. No fitting, crisp 4 # brake. You won't be disapointed
Awesome Trigger System(05/04/2010)
The price was right, it was easy to install and I'm very happy with the results. It has a crisp clean break with no creep or travel. I plan on installing this system on my other ARs in the immediate future.
Best value in Geissele triggers(17/12/2010)
Having used other 2-stage AR triggers after I used a Geissele I had to buy more and replace them all. The machining and fit and finish is second to none. I even installed one in my ACR. This is the standard which all other AR triggers is judged.
Great choice(05/09/2011)
I bought this trigger for my new 50 Beowolf, it made such a difference I bought three more to replace in other rifles. This trigger makes a good rifle a great rifle and an overall pleasure to shoot. It was easy to install, straight forward and no surprises. It was a great choice and a great product.
Smooth and then Crisp...(12/09/2011)
1st stage smooth take up, 2nd stage crisp-- Trying to build my 308 on a budget, but this was well worth the extra money... Assembly easy, parts fit perfectly. DPMS 308 LR-B.
Great Trigger(24/10/2011)
I have purchased six of these triggers to replace the stock triggers on my AR rifles. I have them on my .50 Beowolf, 450 Bushmaster and several other AR15s. If you try one you will likely have to replace all your other triggers just like I did. It is easy to install and looks great too. You cannot go wrong with this purchase.
Giessle SSA two stage trigger(12/12/2011)
I am very pleased with my SSA trigger, installation in my DPMS LR-308 AP4 took about 5 min. The first stage is smooth coming to solid stop at the second stage. The second stage is crisp and clean you can almost think the trigger pulled. The creep and grittiness of the stock trigger group are gone.
Geissele SSA Trigger(13/12/2011)
Just installed this trigger in my LMT lower. I was immediately impressed right out of the package with the quality craftsmanship. The trigger was easy to install and performed exactly as advertised. I've had Timney triggers in other AR rifles. Apples to Apples this is a totally different type of trigger. The pull is very light and smooth during the first stage. The second stage has no perceptible creep and breaks crisp and cleanly. I would definitely recommend using this trigger in a "battle" gun. A match gun would be better served with the Timney unit.
Money well spent(17/12/2011)
competition 3 gun match & target I own 5 SSAs, 2 in dpms-lr and 3 in 556-ARs i am even considering putting one in my 9mm AR and Spikes Tact AR-22
First Rate-No Surprises(20/12/2011)
Yes, it really is as good as all the reviews say. No surprises. Short smooth 1st stage, crisp, consistant break @ 2nd stage, fast reset. Would not hesitate to buy another.
works great!(05/01/2012)
This trigger is easy to install and works great on my DPMS LR308C.
Lives Up to All The Hype!(20/02/2012)
Installation was a breeze. Very good instructions. Quality of parts & machining is obvious. Dummy pin to capture disconnector and supplied grease are both helpful.
1st stage is light and very smooth. 2nd stage is perfect. Overall trigger pull averaged 5-1/4 pounds right after installation, but I expect it to drop a little after some use.
It is the best 2-stage trigger I've ever pulled.
Excellent product(25/02/2012)
Installed this on a L.E. semi-auto .308 precision rifle. Officer was unhappy w/ factory JP unit and kept trying to adjust without understanding what his adjustments could do to sear engagement. He loves the trigger and I like that he can no longer attempt adjustments that can adversely affect the safety of the firearm. Trigger is crisp, consistent, and in my opinion better than RR two stage. Trigger took what was an "average" rifle for its intended purpose and made it a "good" rifle.
Perfect trigger(03/08/2012)
I just ordered 3 of these triggers and checked each one with a trigger pull gauge after they were installed. I'm shocked, every trigger is between 4 and 4.25 LBS. Crisp break. They don't get better than this!
Perfect(12/08/2012)
Replaced stock lwrc trigger with this item. Easy to replace, good instructions, huge difference . Yes it's costly .... But this is one purchase I do not regret. Effortless first stage with a defined second at which I get a crisp clean hammer release.
Best Tactical Trigger(15/02/2013)
There is a reason why this trigger gets across the board five star reviews. I put this trigger in a Colt LE6920. The factory Colt trigger, like most stock factory AR triggers had an excessive amount of trigger creep. The Geissele trigger came with good instructions and was easy to install. There is also a very detailed You Tube video on how to install the SSA trigger on Geissele's web site. I don't think the video will be necessary for most installers but if you are not feeling confident about it, it is not a bad idea to watch the video. The SSA works great. It has a safe pull weight but has virtually no creep. You can see the craftsmanship in it's construction like a Swiss time piece. Every part of the SSA is apparently magnetic particle inspected. The hammer is hard hitting. I don't think it is going to have any trouble with any primers out there.
In my opinion there is no better two stage tactical trigger out there.
Perfect for Me(16/02/2013)
This trigger was very easy to install. It dropped directly into my M4 with no difficulty. Total time from disassembly to install, to reassembly was 10min. Two stage is as advertised. Slight build in first stage and then a clean break. Trigger comes with everything necessary including new pins. I highly recommend this trigger if you are looking for a simple way to dramatically improve the factory fire control system.
Buy it(18/03/2013)
I bought this trigger group for my Sig 716. The factory trigger on this rifle is 8lbs. It is a direct replacement and took only 10 minutes from start to finish to install. The first stage has a slight creep, and the second stage is a smooth crisp break. It is the best upgrade I've done to my rifle that has improved accuracy at long ranges. You won't be disappointed.
Exactly what I expected.(21/03/2013)
I believe a good trigger should be the first upgrade on any firearm. This was easy to install. It is not a light target trigger. It is a very predictable two-stage trigger, perfect for combat/duty use. The first stage is smooth as butter and about 2 pounds. There is no doubt when you hit the second stage. Another 2 pounds and it breaks clean. No creep at all. There's nothing to adjust so it should stay like this for the life of the weapon. I have this in a Sig M400 carbine. I can hit 10" plates at 200 meters all day with this. Well worth the money.
Worth every penny and then some !(02/06/2013)
Our military uses this company so why isn't everyone. Superb trigger pull on this unit. Precise movements on this 2 stage trigger should make everyone a sniper .My friends will be drooling .Follow up shots are quicker and insanely more accurate .Hats off to you Geiselle
Geissele is always best in class(08/08/2013)
Excellent trigger at the price. Trigger is smooth and performs as advertised. SSA is a practical trigger for the AR shooter who wants an improvement over the OEM trigger without being too light.
Absolutely fantastic!(12/10/2013)
People, it just doesn't get any better than this!
I had a hard time justifying the price but after installing and trying it, I wasn't sorry! I thought this trigger would be too light for a defensive gun but it proved me wrong.
It's not too light and not too heavy. It's a major improvement over the stock trigger and is just right for any gun that would be used for duty or defense. It would be well suited for target work and hunting too.
While it's not light enough to be a true, "Match" trigger like you'd have in a precision bolt gun for 1,000 meter work, I look at it like a, "Match-Like" highly tuned Combat trigger. Totally smooth and flawless. Light but not too light but a nice clean break. Just like a carrot like it says in the add.
Something I really like about this trigger that stands out above the other guys is the full power hammer spring. No ignition issues to worry about. I can't say the same for some other designs I've looked at. For me, this was a major factor in my choosing this trigger over some others on the market. You get all the reliability of the Mil-Spec trigger with a greatly improved pull and break.
I didn't put my trigger pull gauge on it but I'd say it's right around the 4.5 pound total pull weight. The actual break is much lighter than the take up. Needless to say, I will be getting one of these for the rest of my AR's for sure now. Simply put, it's a fantastic product that's worth every penny I paid for it! You won't be sorry if you spend the money and get one!
Thank you Brownells for carrying this product! :)
Essential for M&P-10(14/02/2014)
I installed the SSA on an S&W M&P-10 .308 and glad I chose this model trigger. The second stage breaks at a perfect tension. The engineering, materials, machining and all tolerances are superb. This product requires no improvements at all. A light oil is all that is needed to lubricate all points, I did not use the supplied grease, I used Militec-1 light oil. A note to M&P-10 owners who want to install this trigger: the ambidextrous design of this rifle requires the bolt carrier trip lever to be removed, then reinstalled after the new hammer is installed. This procedure is not needed for non-ambedextrous design rifles. This Geissele trigger assy is a deal for $210 and essential to all AR design rifles.
Great(05/06/2014)
Great service from Brownells and a great trigger.
NOT 4.5 lb trigger(03/07/2014)
Wonderfully made, great design, crisp break, everything I wanted and was willing to pay a lot of money for. Except when tested by our department's gunsmith, it was under the required 4.5 lbs. For most people this is a detail not worth thinking about, but policies are what they are and I wasted a bunch of money on a trigger I can't use. I'm disappointed. Other retailers' descriptions of this product say, "about 4.5 lbs". If the trigger weight doesn't matter to you, then I'd recommend this one. If it HAS to be at least 4.5 lbs, look somewhere else.
Worth The Investment!(26/11/2014)
I picked one of these up for a DPMS .308 and was extremely pleased with it. You can tell when you pick it up that Geissele puts a lot of time and effort into building these triggers. The installation was a bit tougher than I've had with other triggers. The pins fit extremely tight but with use of the slave pins that were provided it all went together in less than 20 minutes. They're a bit expensive but well worth the money. The two stage aspect of the trigger helps me with accuracy and improved my groups. There is a video on youtube by Bill Geissele that describes all the different types of triggers that they offer. It's worth a look if your confused about what trigger to buy.
The Perfect Trigger(10/11/2015)
This tripper worked exceptionally well in my Spikes Tactical 5.56 build-up. So just had to get another one for my .300 BLK build-up. Easy to install and WORKS!
Simple install(11/01/2016)
I installed this SSA-E on an Armalite AR-10 B-Series. I use this with two uppers; 16" Armalite Carbine and a 24" Kreiger barreled Armalite upper. I use it for hunting and plinking. The instal was very simple. Don't overlook cocking the hammer when re-installing the selector switch. Doh! I can't image a better two stage performance. First stage is satin smooth and the second stage is very light and crisp (as I wanted) with no creep or over-travel. This is my second Geissele. My other is an SSA on a Colt 6920. I am very satisfied with it too. Only detraction is the cost but with a sale, Brownells was cheapest I could find.
What a Great Trigger(22/01/2016)
I hate to spend money on upgrade stuff because sometimes it is a waste of coin. But after putting one of these triggers in one of my ARs, I was hooked---- I bought 2 more. I know--- that's a lot of money for triggers--- but it is worth it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the hype was right!(27/05/2016)
I bought the SSA to replace the stock mil-spec trigger on my SIG516. Install was pretty easy with no issues whatsoever.
The difference between the SSA and the stock trigger is night and day. Going from a fairly gritty trigger that breaks around 7+ pounds, to a very clean 2 stage that feels like it's in the 4 pound range is sweet. The SSA is very predictable, when you hit the wall you know exactly what to expect from the break time after time.
It's not the cheapest trigger job for an AR, but it is worth every penny.
Excellent trigger(01/07/2016)
All of Geissele's trigger's are very high quality. You have many options to suit your purpose and weapon. I use the SSA in all of my AR's. The fit and function of these triggers exceed most other aftermarket triggers. Geissele supply's triggers to our Military. Thr only drawback on these triggers is the price. I don't really fault Geissele on this because they spend a lot of money on research, development and quality materials.
Best All Around Trigger. Period(30/08/2017)
I own six of the Geissele SSA-Es and one of their adjustable match triggers. All you need to know is that the SSA-E is the best non-adjustable combat trigger that is equally good as a match trigger.
Anyone complaining about compatibility, installing, and function are inept. It installs easier than a MILSPEC trigger, which means very easy. It's a 2-stage trigger with a light, crisp second stage. It allows the shooter to have a very light pull and still be immune to doubling. It can be pulled through for fast shooting, still used for a precision rifle, AND is still a great choice for a defense rifle. It's simply the best all around and robust real world trigger available. One caveat: wait for a 20-30% off sale, then stock up!
Excellent 2 stage Trigger (29/10/2017)
Excellent military DMR trigger. Would recommend to anybody. I installed this trigger in a Mk 12 SPR clone and is my favorite. only took a 100 rounds or so and the trigger really smoothed out.
Great trigger(02/05/2018)
Outstanding trigger and very easy to install. I will buy another for my next build.
