Filetage 1/2-28 TPI. Longueur totale de 2.25" (5.2 cm). Diamètre de 0.875" (2.2 cm). Poids de 2.6 oz (73.7 g). S'adapte au calibre .223 (5.56 mm).

amazing muzzle control !!(07/03/2014)
I think this item would be better labeled a muzzle brake vs. a comp. I expected good performance in the recoil department since it is a baffled unit. However I was extremely impressed when I experienced performance nearly on par with my MUCH MUCH larger 3-baffled competition brake from a unit not much larger than an A2 flash hider. Fast shooting is a breeze as there is almost no muzzle movement. Also used their timing shim system which was much easier than the crush washer route. definitely worth every penny!
M4-72 SEVERE DUTY COMPENSATOR(03/02/2015)
I can't come up with any Con's. It's done everything I expected it to. I haven't fired it prone yet, but based on standing performance, I won't be disappointed. I chose the M4-72 from a review I found online of a bunch of brake/comp.s, and it fits my eye. More like a barrel extension, less like a tank. I will definitely buy another one when I build another.
Noticeable improvement(08/02/2015)
I was skeptical until I tried it. You can feel the improvement as the muzzle rise is reduced significantly, almost to none, which allows for faster follow up shots. You can feel a bit of the concussion, which is aimed upward to the back and sides in a "V" shape, it is not bothersome, but you can feel it and notice that it actually works in directing muzzle forces in the appropriate directions to achieve its intended purpose. Installation required timing washers, as it should NOT be used with crush washers.
WOW!! Buy One(14/09/2015)
I saw a great video from a professional and some other Home made videos. I will tell you, it is a must have and I highly recommend it. It greatly reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise. I know 5.56 & .223 barely have any recoil but I swear it felt like I was shooting a 22LR rifle. I was truly a amazed plus there was no increase in noise or blow back for people standing or sitting next to you at a range like other muzzle brakes. If you are in 3 gun competitions buy it. Great price and easy to install. Also buy the Precision Armament Accu-Washers, they make the job so easy.
The good...the bad.....and the ugly.(02/03/2016)
Have had this device mounted on my LaRue 5.56 for 8 months now. I have put hundreds of rounds through this thing in a variety of shooting scenarios (DOD firearms instructor). It's ability to reduce recoil is unparalleled. That being said it is also one of the loudest muzzle devices I've ever utilized. Due to the steep angle of the vents on this device it is impossible to discharge your weapon while conducting CQB drills without blowing the eye protection right off of the faces of the men on either side of you. Firing from any sort of an enclosed space such as a shoot house is out of the question. I think to call the device "Severe Duty" is a bit of an exaggeration.
Great recoil reductoin(03/03/2016)
Read a review on this brake and my father bought one, I waited to see it first. This brake is amazing. Recoil reduction is an understatement. I was so impressed I ordered mine as soon as I got home from the range. Yes it is loud to anyone standing nearby, and the shock-wave at the indoor range was a bit startling. But to the shooter, it is a small byproduct to the reduction of recoil. The gun barely moves and follow up shots are effortless when you have such light recoil. You also get a bast of air in the face, not sure if this was due to being at and indoor range with close side walls?
Awesome Brake!!(09/04/2016)
Awesome!! Almost no muzzle movement. Hard to believe from such a tiny device. A little concussive - not bad from behind the trigger but not good for the guy next to you.
Woow concussion (08/08/2016)
Ok I have about 2000 rounds through my m4-72 on 16 inch DDMV11. The good news is there is nothing else out there that comes close to reducing the recoil and keeping gun flat. You can rapid fire out 100 yards and not come off target. But this comes with a very lot of negatives. First off every time you pull the trigger it's like a small bomb goes off right in your face I mean you get hit with a blast of hot gas and carbon particles it will turn your face black after 1000 rounds. Very distracting I blink everytime I pull the trigger with this on my gun, after a 30 round magazine I can't even hold the handrail because it's too hot from all the hot gas blowing directly onto gun and in your face. I have to shoot with a glove on left hand. After you shoot 30 rounds your hand will be black from carbon particles so will half of your hand rail. After trying to like this product I have decided the cons far outweigh the pros so I'm willing to lose some recoil reduction for less concussion. Also this think is so unbelievably loud I need 2 sets of hearing protection.
M4-72(06/12/2016)
This is a great break that really cuts back on recoil. I tried it on a 20 inch barrel and the big problem is the blast hits you in the face and eyes. So i put it on a 28 inch barrel and it's fine with that length barrel. they need to come up with deflector that goes right behind the break to make it comfortable and keep your eyes clean without the use of glasses. For those who would like it. for recoil i would give it a 5 but I'm scoring it low only because of the particles that hit your face and eyes.
Watch the blow back(21/12/2016)
Installed it on my AR15 and shot it for the first time today and wow. Does a great job on recoil and rise suppression, but get ready to get a face full of blow back. So much so I just ordered the VG6 to replace it.
Awsome Muzzle Control!!(03/03/2017)
Due to popular demand I have installed a handful of these devices on AR 223. Bar none they are by far the best muzzle control device out there. They virtually eliminat muzzle movment in the 223! One thing to be aware of though is that they are reverse venting so DO NOT USE WITH EXTENDED FOREARMS THAT COVER BACK OF BRAKE or you WILL get some blowback :(
Donât believe the cryers (22/02/2018)
I love this comp. Rapid fire is totally possible due to the muzzle hardly moving off POA. Iâve shot it A LOT off a 16â LRue, and even during rapid fire on an indoor lane I havenât experienced any gas issues. The blast seems to glance off both shoulders without watery eyes and felt recoil at around 35-40% IMO. All my rifles that I donât expect will see a can will have this comp. Get it, donât let the gas in your face reviews stop you.
I installed this on a 16 inch rifle. This thing is extremely effective at reducing muzzle climb and recoil. The fit and finish are outstanding and it looks fantastic too. The concussion is pretty harsh... probably the harshest of any muzzle brake I've used. Not just for the guys next to you, but for you as well. Don't shoot this thing prone. If you do, shut your mouth or else it'll rattle your teeth and brain. I had a bit of vertigo after that ordeal(sarcasm flag). It has "duty" in its name, but I don't know that I'd use this for a patrol rifle or even home defense. I shiver at the thought of using this indoors. The fireball it shoots out back at you is pretty intense and fun to look at if you're a bystander. All of that being said, this muzzle brake is certainly very effective at mitigating recoil and muzzle climb. It's like that friend who doesn't have an indoor voice. He can keep a conversation going and it stays interesting but your ears are ringing when it's over...which is kind of irritating. In the end I took it off my rifle and gave it to a friend who could use it better than I.
