Superior rod, superior price(04/02/2012)
I got one of these in .22 and 30 cal years ago. I've used both extensively. They will last a lifetime and don't "turn" if you wipe them off after each use, which you should do with any cleaning rod anyway. I did just buy another 22 cal rod because I bent it trying to force a tight patch through. My fault totally.
Great Cleaning Rod(07/11/2013)
This is one great cleaning rod. Will last a lifetime. Very stiff works great with the VFG adapter and pellets. Add a little JB Bore Cleaning Paste then finish with Bore Bright and clean patches and your bore looks better than new.
An excellent cleaning rod(14/05/2010)
I have a number of Dewey rods, both coated and non coated. For this application, I chose a non-coated rod. It allows one to use more standardized tips without an adapter. The non-coated rods need to be cleaned after use. If they do corrode (brass can get a surface corrosion) after time, the corrosion can be easily be removed with steel wool.
These are the best rods, with comfortable grips and great ball bearing action in the handle assembly.
Good rod, but one peice(02/04/2013)
I was under the impression from the picture that this rod came in segments, but however it is one peice and a very long one piece at that. It works ok for my AR-15 but it is definitely too long. The rod is great quality, but I knocked off 1 star because brownell should be giving information about this item being one peice.
Probably the best(17/10/2013)
Probably the best cleaning rod ever. Solid Brass, so there´s no Dirt embedded, and softer than Barrel steel.
Superior workmanship.
And uses standard 8 - 32 thread, no Dewey thread or adaptor nonsense.
Get one, while they still make them!
Use Pro Shot brass jags with them ... you can thank me later!
