Nous avons d'abord repéré les applicateurs à embout en coton lors de notre visite de l'atelier d'armurerie à l'Académie du FBI à Quantico, VA. À côté de chaque étau se trouvait une poignée de ces applicateurs, prêts à être saisis pour une multitude d'utilisations : lubrification, nettoyage à l'intérieur des mécanismes, accès aux chambres de canon et retouche de bleuissage sur des zones des canons, des cadres et des organes de visée. Les possibilités sont infinies !

Get Down In Where You Really Want To Do The Job

We first spotted cotton-tipped applicators in pro use when touring the beautiful gunsmith shop at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. Beside each vise was a handful of them where one could be quickly grabbed for a host of uses - lubrication, cleaning down inside actions, getting into barrel chambers and for touch-up bluing of spots on barrels, frames and sights. The uses are limitless!

Must have swabs (18/09/2013)

I can't believe no one has reviewed these swabs. I have used them for years. I use them for cleaning, for bluing, for reloading, and for everything. The long handle makes them far more useful than a drug store Q tip. I often use the wooden handle end to clean out slots in slides, frames, and receivers. I order several thousand at a time. There are just that useful!!!They are a must have in any cleaning kit or workbench.

The cotton swabs are an excellent product for the bench. I use them for cleaning and removal of powder that gets down in the magazine well. Sometimes the sticks break very easily but for the most part are pretty good. Great product for the bench!

These are great, try them once and you'll be hooked. Lint free and works great for all those nooks and crannies. A must have item for your cleaning supplies.

These swabs are great for getting into the nooks and crannies when cleaning any type of firearm. They are lint free. Use them for cleaning or oiling in hard to reach areas.

Anecessity for all work benches (15/04/2016)

I don't think that I could get along without these swabs! I keep them on my bench top at all times and use them for cleaning firearms, applying lube, applying spot bluing, applying Aluminum Black, plus many other uses. Their long handles make it easier getting into hard-to-reach areas.

I use a few every time I clean a gun, and they're useful on the reloading bench for quickly swabbing dies out to keep crud from building up.

More Cotton Than Q-Tips (01/08/2010)

You can use these for anything from removing dirt, grease, oil/dirt build up to cleaning your ears. Good for getting into tight places to apply oil or grease. Common sense applies here, don't let the little strands of cotton come off the end of the stick and stay in you gun. What can you say, it's a cotton ball on a stick. Wup - dee - doo.

We used these in the USMC to clean all of our weapons to "inspection ready". They work great to get in all of the nooks and crannies.

Wood sticks too fragile (01/03/2017)

I use these for detailed gun cleaning. Like the longer reach and cotton tip stays on. The batch I have though has very brittle sticks which easily break with normal use.

Sturdy shanks (08/06/2017)

Indispensable! A must on the cleaning bench. Shafts are sturdy with a little flex. They can be broken if you try... The length is perfect. The cotton tips stay put. Very few if any loose fibers, depending on the solvent or oil being used. Put the drug store swabs back in the medicine cabinet.
