Get both the Lyman Brass Smith press you want AND the Lyman Universal Press Stand to mount it on your bench and save money over buying the two items separately! Lyman’s Brass-Smith Ideal Press is the perfect starting point for beginners or as a precision companion press for experienced reloaders. The compact design of the Ideal Press requires minimal bench space, but it is not some flimsy lightweight! The rugged press frame is made of cast iron, while other components are all steel. The press features compound linkage for optimum leverage, a 1” diameter ram, and a 3 7/8” press opening which can handle all pistol calibers and rifle cartridges with a loaded length of up to 3.700”. The press has a central handle position for easy ambidextrous use and a ball handle for comfortable operation. The Ideal Press accepts all 7/8x14 thread dies and standard shell holders. The press will provide accuracy and precision for beginners or experts and is the perfect auxiliary press for those wishing to perform a specific operation separate from their main press. Rugged cast iron frame Ambidextrous design Handles all pistol calibers and rifle cartridges up to 3.700 in length Accepts all standard 7/8”x14 dies and standard shell holders Durable powder coat finish Compound linkage and 1” diameter ram Weight 13.8 pounds This bundle also includes the Lyman Universal Press Stand, which is the only press stand on the market that will accept most current single station, turret, and progressive presses of all brands. This heavy-duty steel stand comes with two mounting plates pre-drilled for your favorite single station, turret, or progressive press. If by chance you have a press that does not match up with any of the numerous patterns, there is also a blank area where you can drill your own mounting holes. The stand will raise your press 9 1⁄4” above your bench surface, which will lessen fatigue from having to bend over to cycle your press and provides a clear view of all reloading operations. All hardware needed to mount your press is included. The Universal Press Stand is drilled to allow it to be bolted to your bench, or it can be C-clamped to provide quick removal if desired. All steel, heavy duty construction Accepts most single station, turret, and progressive presses. Blank area allows custom drilling. Raises your press 9 1⁄4” for a clear view of reloading operations.
