La presse à recharger monobloc en fonte robuste offre la plus grande ouverture de cadre et la course de vérin utilisable de toutes les presses de sa catégorie. Elle gère tous vos besoins de rechargement, des petites cartouches de poing aux gros magnums de fusil. Le cadre O décalé à 36° avec une ouverture généreuse de 4½" de hauteur offre un accès exceptionnel. La poignée à boule décalée permet un fonctionnement ultra-doux et un maximum de levier. Le manchon en acier pour les dies 7⁄8"-14 peut être remplacé par un manchon pour les dies 1"-14 (vendu séparément). Pour utiliser les dies 1¼"-12, il suffit de retirer complètement le manchon. Elle dispose du même système de collecte des amorces usagées utilisé sur les presses T-7 Turret et UltraMag de Redding. Les amorces usagées tombent automatiquement à travers le vérin lourd de 1" de diamètre et descendent dans un tube en plastique flexible qui peut contenir des centaines d'amorces pour un élimination facile.

Heavy Duty Press Handles Any Cartridge Up To The Largest Magnums

Heavy-duty cast iron single-stage press features the largest frame opening and useable ram stroke of any press in its class. Handles all your reloading needs from small handgun cases to the big rifle magnums. The 36° offset O-frame with a generous 4½" high opening offers superb ease of access. Offset ball handle for super-smooth operation and maximum leverage. The steel bushing for 7⁄8"-14 dies can be replaced with a bushing for 1"-14 dies (available separately). To use 1¼"-12 dies, simply remove the bushing entirely. Features the same Spent Primer Collection System used on Redding’s T-7 Turret and UltraMag presses. Spent primers automatically drop through the 1" diameter heavy ram and down into a flexible plastic tube that holds hundreds of primers for easy disposal.

This press has zero...no...slop in the mechanism at all and has a great primer disposal system. I love mine!

Very pleased with the quality (11/07/2012)

I had been using an RCBS rock chucker supreme. The Redding Big Boss II is superior in my opinion. There is next to zero slop in the ram and handle linkage (much better than the RCBS). The spent primer system is again far superior to RCBS. Although somewhat subjective, the exterior of the casting has no voids or pits and very crisp and sharp lines which is indicative of a quality casting.

Wanted another single sage press and chose this one. High quality unit. A lot of access room to the shell plate. Should have no problem with almost any cartridge. At first the stroke felt very tight but loosening the lower link nuts a hair made it smooth as butter. The more I have used it the more I like it.

The primer catcher is the BEST. Such a simple design too. It catches everything. No more primers and primer ash everywhere. Made in the USA and a lifetime warranty from a great company to boot. Probably the last single stage press I'll ever need.

Great Press (18/06/2014)

I primarily use this press for re-sizing and de-priming .223.
The press is solid as they come with no play, yet smooth as silk.
Unlike other reviews, my only issue is with the spent primer collection. It seems 1 out of 15 primers ends up on the floor. I also took the plug out of the primer collection tube and ran the tube into a large jar to collect the spent primers, that eliminates emptying the tube periodically.

A quality piece of equipment. (08/03/2015)

Very well made and constructed. The perfect unit for the average or even more skilled reloader. It will last a life time or more easily. It was a bit stiff at first, so I also loosened the lower nuts just a hair like Doulos, ( one of the reviewers said ) and it now works silky smooth!!! I use it on .22-250, .270win, 7mm rem & 300 savage. Lots of room for the longer calibers bullets.

Big Boss Spent Primer Catcher (04/01/2016)

Had to return this press, because the spent primer catcher tube runs out the back of the ram. The spent primer falls down the center of the tube alright, but that's where the fun ends. The spent primer must travel at an angle out a rear mounted nipple and into the tube. The rear mounted nipple was too close to my reloading bench preventing mounting the press on my bench. To me this press was unusable.

Otherwise solidly built. Was very disappointed in the spent primer catcher tube mounting on the REAR of the ram, especially since the product description touts the spent primer falling down the center of the ram.

Great Press! (10/02/2016)

All around great press, Compared to the other green one I have it just seems a little smoother. No slop, and I like the big opening and angle. As far as the primer catch, yeah, you lose a few here and there, no biggie... If you clean the primer discharge hole in the ram periodically it works just fine, I take out the plug and just let 'em fall in a bucket. It takes care of every caliber I reload for from 9mm to 7mm Mag. I've had it for about 6 yrs now and have loaded thousands of rounds and have have had no issues.

Unbeatable Single Stage Press (30/03/2017)

The press has zero, did I say Zero slop! The press is the absolute smoothest press I've ever used. The ergonomics are perfect. The primer catching system is excellent. Sure every once in a while a primer pops out. Big deal! I also got the auto primer system and right out of the tube it worked perfectly. I've seen reviews stating that the auto prime system just didn't work. I don't know what those people are doing but they must be the problem and not the equipment. This is a buy it once and forget it piece of equipment. It will last a couple of lifetimes. And don't forget it's made in the USA.

Nice Press (14/01/2018)

I had an older RCBS and it was good press, but I needed something that opened up a bit bigger. This did what I needed and the offset angle on the opening is helpful. I also like the primer catch tube system.

Heavily Built Press (30/08/2018)

The Redding Big Boss 2 is a heavily built single stage press. The press action is a bit stiff out of the box, after applying 10w-30 motor oil to all pivot points it became very smooth. Accepts standard shell holders.
