Great product so far. (25/06/2018)

Product is well machined and well thought out. The bolt hold open design works great as opposed to some others. Magazine release feels natural for both strong and weak side support. The only mod required was removal of the integral feed ramp because the upper is a Taccom ULW upper that already has a barrel ramp. Removing the ramp was easily accomplished with an allen wrench. The customer service rep at Stern was very helpful with this. Specs are as follows:

I bought this produce so I wouldnât have to but a different lower receiver. I did call Stern because it would not let me cycle the bolt with the adapter fully seated. I had bought a Foxtrot Mike upper. Stern said that for $7.50 they would mill .035 off the bolt plus shipping both ways. It works like a charm now. Very impressed with the product and Sternâs costumer service.

Works great with my FM upper after the bolt mod. Bolt hold open does not work with the Magpul mags. Works perfectly with glock and ETS

Building a 9mm AR Carbine on a budget can quickly become an expensive endeavor if you buy unreliable parts. The AR-15 9mm Conversion Adapter for GlockÂ® Magazines by STERN DEFENSE Is a reliable way to use Glock magazines in a Mil-spec lower. I use it for USPSA PCC division and Steel Challenge matches to keep the feel of an M-4 and for training. Iâve personally tried other methods and this system is far superior. The feed ramp angle on 9mm is critical for proper function and reliability, with the vast array of projectile profiles. So far Iâve had luck with multiple types of 9mm projectiles I.E. Winchester 124gr FMJ, 145gr RN Bayou, and 147gr FP/HP Berryâs. The last round Bolt hold open is somewhat unnecessary for PCC, however, is great to feel the weight transfer of the bolt carrier group and buffer and have it lock on the last round.

The only feature that I dislike is the magazine release is located at the bottom of the unit which is not a big deal if your state allows âstandard capacityâ magazines. However, Iâd like index the same magazine release in the same configuration of an AR series firearm, which would be difficult without permanently modifying the magazine. Overall a great product the moment you open the package you can see that a lot of thought went into its development and manufacturer.

Been looking for a reliable 9mm conversion for almost a year and after tons of researches (forum and YT), I decided to bite the bullet and purchase Stern Defense.

I have to say this thing is amazing, I installed this to my Anderson lower and it fits perfectly no play and nothing. To be on the safe side, I purchased Stern Defense Upper (from their website) paired with their H3 Buffer.

Went to the range today and shot 1000rounds and ZERO hiccup! I ran all kinds of ammo (freedommunitions 115/147gn, Fiocchi 115gn, and Sellier&Bellot 115gn)

All and all, I'm very satisfied with the product!

This adapter is fantastic. The pistol I used fed reliably from all the Glock mags that fit in the well, including 40 S&W and 357 SIG magazines. Installation and adjustment is a matter of turning in one screw to set it, and then two more for standoffs so it doesn't move around when you seat a new magazine.

The only reason I took off a star is because the mag release is a little awkward to use, the thing was very sticky with an aftermarket 9mm drum magazine, and the bolt hold open was a little hyper aggressive and held the bolt open with one still in the magazine.
