Perfect AR Grip(24/11/2009)
This is a beautiful grip, comfortable, and it even has a little shelf for your thumb.
Get a Grip!(20/03/2010)
I have this installed on my rifle at work. I have also put them on family and co-worker's guns. I have not seen a better grip and this is a BIG improvement over a stock grip. I got shipped a "lefty" model by mistake but it is still so much better and comfortable I did not complain. It will hold Aluma-Hyde II paint too. It will lose it's rubber tackiness if you paint it, but the paint will not wear even after hard use. I have 4 coats on for layered camo. I put an allen wrench and a cotton ball (anti-wrattle) inside for my sights and set screws. A really great grip.
Great Grip(24/06/2010)
This is a perfect grip. It feels great in the hand. Nice feel and rubber grip. It does not fit into the corner of the M-14 I am building with the Troy Chassis. The flip off piece to the right of the grip in the picture does not fit flush with the Chassis. I have seen it on regular AR builds and it fits perfect so I am giving it 5 stars. Not its fault I have a non AR build going. In my case I have to get a different grip. This one maybe going on a different build.
Excellent!(01/08/2010)
I have this grip on every AR lower I own. No question, this is the most comfortable grip I have tried.
A good buy(14/10/2010)
easy to install, fits my hand very well and has a comfortable, sure grip.
Good Choice(27/01/2011)
If you are looking for something similar to, but perhaps better than, the Hogue type rubber grip then this is a good choice; both ergonomically and economically.
Excellent upgrade(24/01/2012)
This grip is a massive improvement over the OEM grip. Fit, Form, and Function are all top notch. The grip comes with a plug... and a disclaimer saying it is "NOT to be used for storage", which made me chuckle a little bit. Even includes a "Gapper" (small piece that fills in the gap between the grip and trigger gaurd), which I thought was a nice touch.
My kit did not include a bolt or lockwasher, which I thought was odd. This is the first aftermarket grip I've purchased, so I have no idea if that is common or not. If you are building a rifle from scratch it's probably something you should be aware of though.
Bottom Plug is for cosmetic purpose only(12/04/2012)
On my DPMS .308, the bottom plug pops out every other shot. Falcon says it's for cosmetic purposes only and they don't guarantee it. It would be nice if they put that on the packaging! Also, there is another model, the 4000LF (for large frames) Not carried here, but I'm sure Brownells can get it for you. If you end up getting a plain 4000, there is a plug you can buy from Falcon (part # 4012) that will convert your grip to the large frame version. Me, I'll probably just buy another grip.
Most Comfortable Grip I've Tried(25/05/2013)
I have two of these, one AMBI and one right handed. Both are much more comfortable than the standard MOE handgrip and better than all of the modular handgrip I've tried because they are narrower than the modular grips. I have fairly big hands and love this grip. Also, I've done a comparison of grips with a female friend that has average hands for a woman. She loved the grips as well. If you are having problems with the bottom piece, just glue it in place. I mean how often do you take your handgrip off? One note is there is no storage option in the grip because of the end pice being soft rubber end cap. If they had a molded end cap that snapped into place, there would be enough room for a AA battery in the handle. I would give it 5 stars if it had this feature. I guess one could put a battery in there with some foam to keep it for rattling and glue the end cap on with a non-permantent glue, but it's a custom solution.
Almost good(14/07/2014)
Good news: grip feels pretty good. I like the rubber over the typical plastic, esp on my sweaty hands. The grip is fine.
Bad news:
1) although the advertising says "â¢A2 sized inner cavitiy compatible with many accessories available on the market" the accompanying brochure says do not put things inside the grip. Maybe their marketing dept could talk to their tech dept.
2) This thing does not ship with a screw to put in on. May not be a problem on a replacement, but, big problem on a build. Come on guys. It's a screw. I just spent $20+ and shipping on this grip, and now I have to also order a screw and pay more shipping, and wait to finish the project. When I order dinner in a restaurant I get a fork to eat it with.
