I've tried all the others and the Tuffer Buffer has got to be the best 10/22 buffer without a doubt. I've got one 10/22 with over 10,000 rounds on it and the Tuffer Buffer looks like new. GREAT value for the money and HIGHLY recommended!

I was a little leery buying this product, but had heard good things from other people and from web sites about this buffer. After installing it and taking it for a test run, it was something I should have bought a LONG time ago!! WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!! My rifle is quiet, it cycles nicely and has less vibration when I shoot it. Highly recommended to all.

I have this buffer in my 10/22 and it is a fine addition, and after over 2 years of use is still like new. When I first got this Buffer I put it on the work bench and pounded it with a hammer, and if it can take that, (it did) I am sure it can take all my 10/22 can ever dish out, and at the same time protect the bolt and receiver from the solid metal to metal contact of the original bolt stop pin. This is also an excellent way to get your feet wet working on your 10/22, as it is one of the simplest accessories to change out on this gun. I would recommend Tuffer Buffer without hesitation!

read some reviews that looked promising. it installed easy enuf but when i got to the range and was shooting the same ammo i usally use and havent had problems before, was getting 6 to 7 jammes per 25 round mag. firred over 350 rounds because i thought it had to be broken in, still had problems. replaced with old pin and rifle shot fine no jams. big upset

Installed in seconds. Made a nice difference in the action of the rifle!! Fired over 2,000 rounds so far and not a hicup and it still looks new (a little black but thats it) I'd recommend these to ALL 10/22 owners!!

The product doesn't claim this will reduce felt recoil, but I have to say that I felt a small reduction.It does claim to reduce metal-to-metal contact, and the difference was obvious. My 10/22 isn't quieter, but there's much less metallic ring. I can only assume that means I am causing less wear to the bolt than with the regular pin.Considering that this is only a [$] item, there is absolutely no reason that every 10/22 shouldn't have one of these inside it, unless your particular gun doesn't seem to like it.Buy it, try it, and if you're one of the few that can't use it, you're only out a few dollars.
Tuffer Buffer Poor Design(27/07/2014)
This 10/22 Bolt buffer is poorly made. Its not rigid enough and its too flimsy to get a good fit when its being driven through the bolt buffer guide holes.It was a pain to install. And It also induced many malfunctions. I couldn't understand how a such a easy to design plastic pin was so poorly made and cost $8. I tried to find a mailing address or a phone # for the company that made it but all I found was a PO located in Ontario. It doesn't say US or Canada. What a Piece Of Junk.

I purchased a tuffer buffer after hearing good things about them from other shooters at the gun ranges I attend. I found it installed REALLY easy and was pleasantly surprised how much it really did quiet down the action in my 10/22.
After 6 months and thousands of rounds later, it's still ticking like a fine watch.
Do not hesitate to purchase. This is a cheap ($) addition to any 10/22 that really does make a difference!!

My last of three simple upgrades to a stock 10/22 Takedown. It definitely eliminates the 'ping' of the metal-to-metal sound with the original pin, and there were no problems at the range during test-fire. The extruded material is slightly flexible, and a light lube will assist in the installment. Make sure the tip is aligned precisely with the opposite pin hole before making the final push thru. If it fights you, try shoving in from the other side, but do not hammer as the tip may flare a bit and it will exacerbate the frustration factor. Once done, enjoy your work and be thankful for opposable thumbs.

Bought originally for 10/22 Mag(instructions say not for magnum). Installed in magnum anyway and have had no problems. I have installed in 3 other 10/22LR's- zero problems. Slightly difficult to install but all went in with only finger pressure. Last eighth inch was the most difficult. On the .22 magnum I inspect on occasion to check for any possible battering or deformation of buffer. I installed it on the magnum in response to reported receiver cracking with bolt impact on the stock steel pin. So far they work very well in all of the 10/22's I've put them in.
