Decent if on a budget(05/10/2009)
This tool works fairly well if you just need to install a front sight or two and don't want to spent a lot of money.
There is a bit too much depth to the socket, allowing the nut for the front sight to rotate a bit - this makes getting the threaded portion of the nut lined up properly with the hole in the front sight tricky.
Can be made to work(04/06/2010)
I know the information says it doesn't fit Glock Longslides, I should have read further before buying. The tool's diameter is .262 and the hole on a longslide is .250. The tool's instructions say dremel out the hole on the slide, NO WAY! Put this in my drill press and used a diamond hone to get it down to the right size and now I have a front sight tool that works in all Glocks. The hex head fits in a socked which I really like. My recommendation is buy a tool that works if you can find one. If you can't, this can be made to work.
Trijicon includes this tool with sights(23/06/2010)
I got this same tool in every package of Tritium sights I bought from Trijicon. You may not want to purchase this separately. It is a cheap but necessary tool for removing Glock Front sights. It is not necessary to have to remove the manufacturer's plastic sight
Works fine(19/03/2011)
This tool works on the new Glock 3/16" sight nuts as well as Meprolights.
piece of junk(13/04/2011)
screw did not in fit this tool squarely. either screw or tool was defective. i had to put screw in with tweezers and fingers. NOT WORTH THE [$]. SAVE YOUR $$$ AND GO TO PLAN "B"...thanks anyway.
One trick pony(02/09/2012)
Even though it has only one use it does the job. Sturdy, handy, and necessary for any Glock owner. Best buy and it was delivered in 2 days
Works After Modification(01/02/2014)
I had already made a tool for Glock front sight screws by filing down a 3/16" socket bit for a screwdriver. I was hoping that the EB bit would fit out of the package, but I had to file it down to make the walls of the socket thin enough to fit down over the screw head. After a little careful filing, it worked fine. Being SS, I expect it to be more durable than the socket bit, but time will tell. As other reviews have mentioned, the hole in the end could have been a lot shallower. I packed mine with tissue paper to keep the screw from disappearing into the hole.
Don't Waste Your Time/Money(24/03/2016)
This tool doesn't work very well. Once it arrived the instructions told you to modify your gun with a dremel tool, so the this tool could fit onto the hex head screw. I'm not going to use a dremel on my Glock to replace the sights. I am going to buy another tool.
good but not(26/11/2017)
The Ed Brown glock front site tool is well made. The machining is excellant but it is short in length, when the driver is on the front site screw head, it is next to impossible to get a grip on the tool to unscrew and securely screw the screw back in place. You have to place a socket on the head of the tool to use it which for the money it could just be made longer.
