I like thin grips and wanted a mag guide to compliment them. I also like the arched main strap,,, this fulfilled both requirements. It was a perfect fit. Nothing was done. It just FIT perfectly. It tends to give the pistol a "rounded butt" feel and eliminates the sharp edge of the Wilson speed chute.

This is a great product. I had it installed in no time. It fits very tight, plus its steel which added some weight to my frame. Works very well with my G10 Grips, no gapping at the base. Overall it was a sound investment.

I ordered a Mag Guide for a spanking new Talo Colt Agent... I was hoping fitting would be minimal, My fingers were crossed that the finish was at least close...
This thing was SPOT ON. NO gapping, NO overlap, NO need to touch it with file nor stone. 3 minute install.
I don't know about other brands of 1911s, but these mag guides fit Colts as if the Factory themselves made it.

Bought this couple of days ago and was able to install it myself in a about 10 minutes. Finish seems tad thin so I haven't got much expectations for wear (this is on my daily CCW) but no issues with fit on my Kimber Ultra Carry. This is replacing the wilson combat ez-loader and is MUCH BETTER. One piece, no rattles!

Dropped into a Ruger SR 1911 lined up as it should. Mainspring bore a little rough but didn't bind, just not as nice as I have received from other brands. I always expect some fitting or polishing, OCD I guess. Overall very nice product.

This magwell works great, drop in is fast on a SA Loaded. No fitting required. Great finish too. If using the stock grips like I did, I thought it was best to buy the slim line, but the standard would probably look best with the width of the grip. I like it overall. Easy 1 minute install.

This slid right into my Sig Traditional Match Elite 9 mm 1911. No fitting required and a very quick and simple install.
The mag well will help speed my reload time but what I really got it for was to adjust my grip a little on this gun. I have big hands and this seems to help.

Unfortunately, not an easy install on my Springfield Armory Loaded .45. I've installed dozens of MSHs, but this one was different. Even though it fits the frame fine, the hole for the MSH retention spring is a bit off spec. I knew this as soon as I was tapping the pin in, there was quite a bit of resistance and small burs of metal coming through. The hole will require some careful enlargement from my gunsmith. Overall seems like a heavy duty stainless steel product, but not what I expected, however. Would recommend only with reservations.

Quick install on Colt Stainless Rail Gun. Finish closely matches that of gun. No fitting required and left only the slightest gap between mag-guide and bottom of frame. You will need mag-bumpers for reliable mag seating. Not only increases mag-well size but lengthens grip slightly for increased leverage.

Not as easy to install on my older model Loaded Springfield as was the blued version on my parkerized Loaded. Doesn't seem to fit as well as the blued one and I will have to have a gunsmith blend it to the frame. Most folks will find fitting needed but part does work.

Very disappointed. Usually I find Harrison design products to be top notch and that is why I ordered this piece. Looks nice, feels nice but very loose on a Colt M1991 A1. mainspring housing pin fell right through it. Even an oversize pin was loose. Would have required a lot of filing and fitting to get it even close to flush in some areas.
First time I have ever sent a product back to Brownells.

Great functional and good looking addition to my 1911 build.
Funnels mags into the magwell easily without a lot of extra bulk. Simple easy install, and works wonderfully. Great grip in the checkering to keep hold of the gun.

Installation was less than 10 minutes. The fit on my S&W ProSeries was perfect. The fit also matched my VZ slimline grips perfect. The finish matched the gun about as close as you will get for an aftermarket part.
