Nice to have all parts needed(19/10/2016)
I bought this kit in March 2016 so that I'd have all the parts and pieces in hand once I finally bought a Lone Wolf G22 Slide. I could have bought the parts individually a little cheaper (brownells Edge member), but most of the time one or more of these parts are on back order, so it's nice to have a single bag that has all the parts I need.
The good: * The parts are high quality, * The plastics are different color than OEM so you can easily tell which gun has which parts in it, * Marine Cups (which Glock doesn't sell to civilians), * Mid-weight striker.
The bad: My kit was missing the firing pin safety spring. I poured all the parts in an empty small plastic tote so that I wouldn't lose any. When I got to installing the Firing Pin Safety in the slide, I noticed I was out of springs. Luckily I had spares from a Wolff Spring Kit for Glock, so I could complete my build. It's not worth fixing this issue with Brownells or Lone Wolf, but if you buy one of these, check it before your build to make sure you got 100% of the parts you paid for.
This is the reason I've only given this 4 stars. I would have definitely rated it 5 stars had the spring been included.
Fragile(25/08/2018)
I didn't have it for long and I was sitting around dry firing my Glock. All of a sudden, the trigger wouldn't reset and I heard a rattling noise when I shook it. I took it apart and to my surprise, the steel striker broke in half!!
Brownells was very good and sent me a replacement.
Liners were junk. (04/10/2018)
Read the skeptical reviews prior and figured maybe these other folks just had a negative outlook. Well, they are correct. I installed it all pretty easily in 15 mins. But the faceplate was a little tight to get on. Got it on, and moved on. Never shot the thing, went to pull it apart, and the liners had binded. Got them out after some cursing and replaced them with standard glock branded liners, now the slide disassembles as easy as can be. Im still using the lone wolf firing pin, and safety plunger, but the rest was pretty much replaced.
Take it from me, just buy factory glock.
some fitting required(18/05/2016)
Most of this kit worked out great, but the rear slide cover wouldnât go on, traced to a plunger that was a hair out of spec. It had to be fitted but went together with some minor sanding and filing.
Missing a part, but Brownells came thru(13/06/2017)
Parts bag came sealed from Lone Wolf missing the firing pin safety. Brownells sent a replacement safety the next day!
The remaining parts all worked appropriately, though the channel sleeve was a touch tight. A good price for the parts you get, just to get that pistol going.
Disappointing Quality(11/12/2017)
Plastic parts were crudely finished i.e. ends of channel liner required sanding/removal of excess material. Extractor was so thick it got stuck in the Polymer 80 Brand slide opening and had to be pried out & sanded down to fit. Safety plunger spring did not fit well into the plunger and the plunger didn't operate smoothly. I immediately replaced all parts (minus the liner) with Glock OEM parts. Fit & function are now perfect, so the slide definitely didn't cause the extractor or plunger problems. This was not my first experience with Glock / Polymer 80 builds, but it was my first and last purchase of Lone Wolf parts.
Hope you like light primer strikes!(14/01/2018)
The liner seemed flimsy and the spring retaining clips wouldnât allow the striker to move smoothly producing light primer strikes. This is my first Lone Wolf product so I donât know if this is to be expected or not.
Light primer strikes(17/02/2018)
This kit comes with a light striker spring for a lighter trigger pull. This resulted in a lot of light primer strikes. The channel liner is lower quality than OEM. I ended up replacing most of the parts from this kit with factory parts.
You get what you pay for(06/07/2018)
You get what you pay for. Biggest issues are that the channel liner was too large it fit in my slide and once buying another and installing it I found that the spring retention cups were also too big so I had to order more parts. It feels cheap and I am not even using it anymore. Took too much time to figure this out to return everything, unfortunately. Spend the money on quality, not this.
