Fast Trigger Action & Reduced Pull Weight For Competition & Speed Shooting
Balanced compression and rebound rates allow hammer spring and trigger return spring to work in unison. Together, they give a seven pound, double action trigger pull with a fast trigger return. Recontoured hammer spring helps smooth trigger pull, prevents stacking.
SPECS: Spring steel. Fits K, L and N frame revolvers. For best results, ammo should use Federal primers.

Best Mainspring money can buy(13/01/2011)
Miculek got this mainspring right. Much better than any S&W K, L, N, mainspring in Brownells catalog or elsewhere. The geometry is perfect a "must have" spring for competition or carry/duty.
Just polish the hooks 600 to 1000 grit paper or paste compound on a drill bit shank and you're done.
Best S&W spring kit made!!!(07/10/2011)
I have used this spring kit in almost two dozen S&W revolvers with consistently excellent results. Easy to install and adjust (recommend you have a trigger-pull scale if at all possible) I have tried others and results are inconsistent and simply not as smooth.I don't know if it is the geometry of the mainspring hook or the balance of the two springs but these really work.
By itself the mainspring offers no perceptible difference. The instructions tell you to let out the set screw until you get the trigger pull that you want and then grind it down. That is a lot more than I wanted to do. Especially when the Wolf kit gets you there with no grinding of parts. IMHO Wolf kit is definitely the way to go.
Best springs available(13/12/2011)
I have been using these on over a dozen revolvers for several years. These produce the best, smoothest and lightest trigger pulls of all...and I have tried them all. Top notch results are well worth the very little bit of work required to truly customize these to the individual revolver.
I don't like it.(06/02/2013)
I whant this kit for mi S&W 14-4 and it's a peace of garbage. the trigger pull is like 7 tons droped in. you have to adjust the strain screw until you get 7lbs. thats more than i whanted to do. its supose to be 7 pouns drop-in. not 7 pounds after fitting. Do not waste your money on this.
fantastic(29/03/2013)
Installing this kit was almost a piece of cake. the rebound spring tool would have put it there. With drop in installation i have 7.5 da and 3 sa. No modification to the tension screw. 100% positive primer strikes with a variety of ammo. I don't have experience to compare this with other spring kits, but this one achieved exactly what i wanted, smoother, faster, more accurate shooting with my carry revolver, and the lighter trigger even helps to keep a cleaner grip and manage recoil better. The only thing i can say bad about it is that it is almost too light for a carry gun, but i am going to go with it.
Several of my S&W sport this kit(08/02/2014)
Adjusting (trimming) the strain screw takes a while. I use a cutoff wheel on my dremel. Don't use it as a cut off, use the side of the wheel as a grinder. Keep a bowl of water nearby to cool the screw so you can keep holding it. You will need calipers to measure the strain screw, this is all in the directions.
When finish, it will be very smooth. If you take it to 7 pounds DA, you will need to use the sensitive federal primers/ammo. In competition guns I take it down to 7 pounds, carry guns are about 8.5 pounds.
The cylinder and slide extended length firing pin helps to provide reliable ignition.
Don't expect this to drop-in. That's never worked for me. The results are really good if you are willing to do it correctly.
While you have the rebound shoe out of the gun, polish it to a mirror finish. I usually stone the bottom flat on a ceramic stone first.
Consider buying a spare strain screw and the rebound spring tool when you order this kit..
Outstanding(02/01/2015)
I read the directions and followed them.....great result, and my Second model HE .44 is now twice as light as I imagined that I could get. I haven't tried it on WW primers but could easily go heavier on the strain screw. I had refined all the little things first and had given up on springs that I liked, but this is it. Seven pounds balances the return spring perfectly giving a smooth linear double action. I shortened the strain screw too much and had to reorder, but they are less than 3 dollars. The next installs will be easier. I filled a small plastic jug with lead shot to get seven pounds on an accurate scale...wire loop to the trigger to try and lift the jug. Easy. I ordered three more JM kits today.
