Got this for my Mossberg 590. This screws right in to the bayonet lug and is the correct thread. Color also matched. As mentioned previously, a small machine screw is needed for it to tighten at the right angle. Fortunately, I had one laying around. Great quality and price.

First Rate QD Stud 14/02/2012
The fit and finish of this QD stud are exceptional. Every bit as good as the finish on a new firearm.
However, the stud comes without the required washer (I believe Mossberg item 12146). Without the washer, the QD stud tightens out of alignment (45 degrees off). I haven't been able to find the washer at Brownells.
