Cependant, Crosstac s'attaque à ce problème avec la conception de ses Recon Shooting Mats, qui sont légers et compacts, permettant aux tireurs de les emporter partout où ils vont. Chaque Crosstac Recon Shooting Mat dispose d'un rail de support pour bipied cousu sur le bord avant du tapis, ce qui signifie que les tireurs peuvent charger leur bipied sans craindre qu'il ne glisse. Le tapis lui-même est fabriqué en tissu cordura 500 Denier, suffisamment robuste pour résister aux conditions difficiles sur le terrain. Le tapis ne pèse que 1,2 livre et mesure 14 pouces par 3 pouces une fois enroulé, ce qui facilite son transport. En cas de besoin, le Crosstac Recon Shooting Mat peut même être utilisé comme abri improvisé, grâce aux œillets inclus qui permettent de l'ancrer ou de l'attacher. Shooting off a mat is nice, but it's impractical for most field shooters and hunters, since many shooting mats are too bulky and cumbersome to actually carry into any real scenario. However, Crosstac is addressing the issue with the design of its Recon Shooting Mats, which are built to be lightweight and compact enough for shooters to carry with them wherever they go. Each Crosstac Recon Shooting Mat features a sewn-in bipod-support rail at the front edge of the mat, which means that shooters can load their bipod without worrying about it slipping off the edge of the mat. The mat itself is made from 500 Denier cordura fabric, which is tough enough to survive rough field conditions. The mat weighs only 1.2 pounds and measures 14 inches by 3 inches when rolled up, allowing for easy carry. In a pinch, the Crosstac Recon Shooting Mat can even be deployed as an improvised shelter, thanks to the included grommets that allow the mat to be pinned down or tied out. The multi-cam finish enables it to be used as instantaneous camouflage in a pinch, if needed.
