These machined aluminum split pliers are designed to loosen Redding dies when screwed into the press. These pliers fit the die body lock ring, which frequently is in a jammed fit with the die and the top of the reloading press. The smaller hole fits the smaller knurled lock nut on top of the reloading die that locks down the decapping assembly. The contoured fit of these pliers prevents the damage we routinely see on lock rings from handloaders using adjustable pliers.

worth the cost(25/07/2013)
These are well worth the cost. I paid for premium Sinclair rings so I didn't want to mess them up. This easily releases a die from the press. And we all know how they can really tighten up during a long reloading session.
Better off with Channel Lock Pliers(26/02/2011)
I purchased these pliers a few years ago because I wanted something that would fit the lock ring on my Redding dies. They worked great for the first year or so but now I am unable to snug the lock ring because the point of contact has worn out. The aluminum alloy used to manufacture these pliers is too soft. That's why they wear out so fast. Save your money for channel lock pliers.
Was waiting for a tool just like this.(10/03/2011)
Work's perfict, would buy another. I wish they would make one for early RCBS die's.
works great with Redding dies(27/03/2011)
great with Redding dies, but not with RCBS
Why did I wait so long to buy this(29/03/2011)
I used it for the first time as I set my 375 H&H dies up for the first time . Finally I no longer need pliers or vise grips . If you don't purchase this item you'll be sorry . It really works .
TTOM768 Judging: Redding Die Tool(14/02/2012)
Pros:
ï Useful Design for Redding Only ï Right Equipment for Correctly Set-Up with Redding Dies ï Compact & not over bulky
Comments: It is correct tool; rather than, pliers. If you purchase it will extend the life of your equipment; as well as, make your reloading correct if you are using Redding products: be professional guys. I would recommend this to all Redding customers.
Concerns, Advice, & Cons:
ï Useful Design However, it boggles my mind the other Manufactures do not follow suit ï I Believe Sinclair should design a similar multi-purpose tool to handle Redding, RCBS, & Hornady: this would eliminate the Q&A for other die makers while making the only existing tool available. It could be a kit. This would sell !!!!!!!!
half good(14/11/2012)
Works great on the large bottom ring of the die, but doesn't work at all on the small top ring of die. The plier handles close against each other before the pliers can grip the top ring of the die. Should have made the top hole on the pliers a tad bit smaller. These are Redding dies I'm trying to tighten, no other brand.
Not Very Progressive (22/08/2017)
I watched the video and thought they would work for some reason. They don't fit after the first die is set up on a Dillon 650 using Redding comp dies. Of course I should have seen it but just loved the idea too much to look deeper into it. Well back to the small Channel Lock pliers. Maybe I can sell the two pair I bought to someone who uses a single die set up?
