Poor Finish(25/01/2011)
The finish was poor compared to the picture on the cover of my catalog. The base of the cutter was throughly pitted across the entire surface, a case holder was also lightly pitted. The cuts in the base to retain the two long thin rods had rough machining marks. The hole in the trimmer stand for the "sharkfin" still had metal burrs protruding which needed to be removed. The Sinclair case holder adapter had scuff marks from the two long thin rods which made it look like I was sent a used part. None of this was major enough to effect function, but due to the cost, it is somewhat disappointing.
one of its kind(27/03/2011)
the design is perfect but I wish they sell these from the start with the ergonomic crank handle.I fixed my problem by putting rubber on the handle so it won't hurt my hand.
Perfect out of the box!(20/04/2011)
This accessory is great. It assembled flawlessly and the shark fin required no adjustment to get rolling. It's a pleasure working with perfect tools.
Excellent(04/10/2011)
It's hard to beat Wilson tools of any kind, and this trimmer is no exception. I've had mine for about 2 years now, and it still functions flawlessly. This trimmer differs from all others in that it uses case holders and you'll need to purchase the specific one(s) for each caliber(s). This all but eliminates wobble, mis-alignment, etc., as the case is perfectly centered. I was reluctant to purchase this trimmer for this reason, but I'm glad I did.
Great Trimmer, No attaching screws?(24/08/2012)
The Wilson trimmer works great. It is easy to adjust and set up. It cuts square and to a consistent length. I only have one minor negative thing, that isn't a reflection of the trimmer. When I got mine it did not come with screws to attach the base to the trimmer. It was an easy fix, I had to get two hex head screws that are 10-32 thread pitch. I had to buy one inch long screws and cut them down to about .875 to get them to the proper length to attach the trimmer to the base. It would have been nice to have the screws included. Maybe I was just unlucky and they usually are, I don't know. That being said I would highly recommend it.
Difficult to adjust(11/09/2017)
When I got it, I was impressed with it, the construction quality is good and it looks nice. I read the instructions well and it seems straightforward in the instructions. It does cut the case mouths nice and square, I will give it that. Very very square. However, I have found it a poor case trimmer, because it is extremely difficult to set a repeatable case trim length. I will set it up for .223 Remington, for example at trim length of 1.750. Afterwards, case lengths will be all over the place. Its super sensitive to set up for case length and very sensitive to both how tight the set screw is as well as hand pressure on the handle while cranking it. I dont use it.
Problems 2 case(21/06/2018)
Very nice looking trimmer but on my second case the handle fell off the crank. I can't get it screwed back on because the handle and the screen I side it rotate separately of each other.
